Due to the individual nature of a Commercial EPC Assessment, a site visit may be necessary to give a reliable estimate of cost. The meeting on site will establish the size and complexity of the property. The inspector will also need to know what information is available about the property and services. The more information available to the Energy Assessor during the inspection, the less time he will have to spend gathering data. This will reduce the cost of the EPC. Where multiple EPCs are required at one property (i.e. sub units), economies of scale can be negotiated where a single or reduced number of visits is applicable.
